No. SW470 Hand finishing Many vintage S&W revolvers reflect years of hard use and rough handling. Surface metal may be dinged and pitted too heavily for best bluing results. Hand finishing will restore a measure of the original factory-finish quality. As a general rule, guns that have been refinished outside the factory are not god candidates for custom work unless the job was carefully and skillfully done. We reserve the right to reject guns no deemed suitable for custom work, especially where remedial costs may exceed the value of the gun.
