LANYARDS & LANYARD RINGS
Gun retention is a vital concern
for hand gunners in risky environments. Lanyards and
lanyard rings are still the best way to keep control of
your sidearm when on horseback, around water or in
hostile circumstances. While many regard lanyards and
lanyard rings as old fashion, Bowen Classic Arms
believes they are as important as ever and produce
several lanyards and lanyard ring studs which, with
appropriate modifications, will fit virtually and
revolver. Hand assembled, the rings are silver soldered
for maximum strength and appearance. All are stainless
steel with the exception of the blued universal style.
Installation instructions are included.
Gunsmiths will find out universal
lanyard rings perfect for custom installations. The stud
features a hefty shaft for chucking in a lathe or mill
vise so that the stems can be threaded for nuts, groove
for retaining clips or drilled for pins. These can be
adapted to virtually any revolver with space on the butt
of the grip frame. Available in both stainless and blued
steels. For owners of revolvers fitted with the popular
Hogue rubber monogrips, Bowen Classic Arms has designed
a lanyard ring to replace the Hogue grip screw and will
afford owners of most popular revolvers a simple, sturdy
installation. Our universal-style lanyard rings can be
modified by your gunsmith to work the same way with
Hogue wood monogrips.
Lanyard rings without lanyards are
useless. We are pleased to offer a high-quality
reproduction British military-style lanyard with an
adjustable slider. These are designed to be used looped
around the neck and under one arm, usually on the
holster side. Woven sheath over a cord core for
strength, these are a handsome dark khaki color and are
available with or without a clip. Both are longer enough
for the tallest shooters to use with a revolver held at
arms’ length in classic field shooting position though
the lanyard with the clip is somewhat longer. |
