Smith & Wesson
Rear Sight Height Chart

The Bowen Classic Arms Rough Country rear sights for Smith & Wesson revolvers are available in three heights that correspond closely to the factory-supplied sights, well within the operating ranges of the respective rear sights. The factory sight heights are usually cited for just the blades rather than the whole sight body/blade assembly. Bowen Classic Arms sight heights are the working heights.

The S&W heights and corresponding Rough Country heights are as follows:

S&W .126 uses BCA .370
S&W .146 uses BCA .385
S&W .160 uses BCA .400

To select the Rough Country sight for your gun, see the chart below:

There are hundreds of Smith & Wesson models and variations with more on the way very day so this chart may never be complete. Some of the PD-series guns are equipped with V-notch rear sights but also with fiber-optic front sights which will probably work better with square-notch/white-outline rear sights. As time permits, we’ll try to develop a conversion chart for these models. We also hope eventually to offer Rough Country sights for earlier models with the square-tang sights.
