Cylinders
Some caliber conversions are not feasible without custom cylinders with small pilot holes. While Bowen Classic Arms Corp. is well known for big-bore caliber conversions, we also do a variety of useful small-bore conversions and must produce suitable cylinders for them.
These 6-shot parts are all beautifully machined to exacting standards and match factory working specifications as closely as possible. They have body sections long as possible to fill the cylinder windows and accommodate the longest possible overall cartridge length and recess the case heads. The single-action parts have undersize bolt notches for best bolt fit on line-bored guns so the bolt nose may have to be slightly relieved for reliable function.
The cylinders are produced in both 4140 Chromalloy and 17-4 stainless steel from pre-heat treated material for minimal distortion and stress in the finished part. Occasionally, we will have unfluted parts available. It is imperative that these be installed and tested by a competent, knowledgeable gunsmith.
Large-frame Ruger Single-Action Cylinders
Fits Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, Bisley old Vaqueros and other large-frame Ruger family revolvers. It is the only cylinder we have long enough to accommodate the .22 Hornet. Also an excellent part for use with long, heavy-bullet .44 Magnum ammo.

Medium-frame Ruger Single-Action Cylinders
Fits both Old and New model .357 Blackhawks, including all Flat Tops and the New Vaqueros. Long enough for wonderful small-bore rounds such as the .218 Bee, .25-20, .256 Win. Mag., .327 Fed. Mag. and .32-20.

Small-frame Ruger Single-Action Cylinders
For both Old and New Model Single-Sixes and small-frame Vaqueros. These are suitable for .327 Fed. Magnum conversions and will are long enough to accommodate factory ammo. Also suited to .22 rim-fires where smaller throats give better accuracy. Small-bore center-fire calibers such as the .22 Long Snapper, .224/.327 Freedom Arms, .25 ACP and others are also possible.

K-frame Smith & Wesson Cylinder
These have magnum-length bodies with provision for recessed case heads. Suited to all the great small-bores calibers such as the .218 Bee, .25-20, .256 Win. Mag. , .327 and .32-20, they will also serve as auxiliary .22LR cylinders for M53 .22 Jet revolvers. Complete with index pins and gas rings (must be fitted by end user).
